There was palpable tension in Efurrun, a community in the Uvwie Local Government Council Area of Delta State, after an explosion rocked a gas plant on Monday evening.
The incident reportedly happened at a gas station identified as the NELMIC gas plant, which is located after Effurun market, opposite the Effurun post office.
Gists9ja could not ascertain yet what led to the explosion as details of the incident are still sketchy as of the time of filling this report.
However, residents have been calling for help to contain the fire outbreak. Those plying Effurun/Sapele road have been advised to take another route while the inferno caused by the explosion subsidies.
