Eleven newly elected members of the Enugu House of Assembly have been photographed presenting their certificate of return to Chijioke Edeoga, the governorship candidate for the Enugu state Labor Party.
It’s no secret that the Labor Party candidates in the recently ended elections for the Enugu state House of Assembly won the majority of seats.
In addition, Chijioke, the labor party’s candidate for governor, lost to Peter Mbah, the people’s democratic party’s candidate for governor.
Mbah received more votes than his nearest challenger, Chijioke Edeoga, and was therefore proclaimed the winner of the election by INEC.
As Edeoga tweeted, “HOA members elect have assured me of their unwavering support in claiming my mandate after presenting me with their certificates.”
