A final year student of a Catholic Private university in Enugu State; Godfrey Okoye University, has been awarded with a car for emerging as the Vice Chancellor for One Day. The awardee; Iloanwusi Vitalis Chinemerem is a final year student of English and Literary Studies Education and he attained the position after getting a CGPA of 5.00 for two consecutive semesters.
The car was given by an alumnus of the University, Mr. Nwafor Onyeachonam Alphonsus who challenged the male students on the path of academic excellence.
It was all shades of joy and happiness as the Vice Chancellor for One Day, together with his parents and loved ones were presented with the gift. In a statement rendered by the University’s vice Chancellor; Rev. Fr. Prof. Christian Anieke, he noted that this was the beginning of greater achievements for the young undergraduate student. He added that this was a way of encouraging young Nigerians to show the world that they got potentials in them.
