Muslim Centre Addresses Rumors Surrounding Sultan of Sokoto's Health

The Muslim Public Affairs Centre (MPAC) has refuted rumors regarding the death of Sultan of Sokoto, Alhaji Sa’ad Abubakar, calling them “unfounded.”

Gists9ja reports that Disu Kamor, MPAC’s executive chairman, confirmed that the Sultan is alive, in good health, and actively fulfilling his role as a spiritual leader for millions in Nigeria and beyond.

MPAC urged the public to ignore these harmful rumors and to verify their news sources, noting that such misinformation can mislead and distract people. The organization condemned the dissemination of false information, stating it could have damaging effects.

Additionally, MPAC has called on law enforcement to investigate the origin of the death rumors, identify those responsible, and take necessary action to prevent similar incidents in the future.
