VeryDarkMan Tenders Apology For Wearing Police Uniform

Social commentator Martins Otse, popularly known as VeryDarkMan, has issued a public apology to the Nigeria Police Force after appearing in a police uniform in a recent video.

The police criticized his use of the uniform, calling it inappropriate, and opened an investigation into the incident.

In the video, VeryDarkMan wore the police attire and jokingly referred to himself as a “Chief Superintendent of Police (CSP) of the Online Division.”

Following criticism, he posted an apology video on Thursday, expressing regret for wearing a costume resembling the official police uniform.

He advised Nigerians to seek proper authorization before wearing police uniforms to avoid misunderstandings or legal complications.

“Just returned from the police station after being questioned about my post in a costume the police claim resembles theirs. I had no intention to impersonate the police, and I offer my sincere apologies to the Nigeria Police Force and the Inspector General of Police,” VeryDarkMan said.

He further encouraged the public, “I want to remind everyone to always get permission from law enforcement before using anything that resembles their uniforms. You might have good intentions, but others may misuse it, so it’s best to get full approval beforehand.”

He concluded by thanking his lawyer, saying, “Big thanks to my lawyer @adeyanjudeji, who’s always ready to help.”
