DSS Arrests Kennedy Tabuko for Allegedly Inciting Protest Against Government Policies
Kennedy Tabuko, who claims to be the leader of the Niger Delta Development Initiative, has been apprehended by the Department of State Services (DSS) for questioning regarding his alleged attempts to incite public unrest against government policies.
According to a high-ranking security official, Tabuko’s arrest follows his repeated efforts to mobilize unsuspecting youths to stage protests aimed at opposing various federal government policies. The most recent of these efforts was an attempt to organize a demonstration at the National Assembly on Thursday, November 21, 2024, where he intended to rally against the policies of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC). However, security forces acted swiftly, intercepting Tabuko before the protest could take place.
The DSS is currently investigating Tabuko’s activities to uncover the motives behind his actions and to identify any possible collaborators involved in these attempts to stir public dissent.
