President Tinubu Appoints Adeboye Adeyinka (Zulu) as Senior Special Assistant on Grassroots Sports Development

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has appointed Adeboye Adeyinka, popularly known as Zulu, as the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Grassroots Sports Development. This strategic move aims to bolster the development of sports at the grassroots level in Nigeria, aligning with the President’s commitment to strengthening the country’s sports ecosystem.

Zulu, a seasoned sports administrator, has a strong background in sports management. He previously served as Special Assistant to the former Minister of Sports, Senator John Enoh, and has worked with four different Lagos State Governors in various capacities. His extensive career has solidified his reputation as a dedicated advocate for grassroots sports development.

In his new role, Adeboye Adeyinka is expected to play a key role in supporting the National Sports Commission (NSC) in its efforts to transform and revitalize Nigerian sports. His wealth of experience will be instrumental in advancing the development of local talent and fostering a sustainable sports culture across the country.

On Monday, Zulu formally presented his appointment letter to the Chairman of the National Sports Commission, Mallam Shehu Dikko, and pledged to work closely with Dikko to strengthen the nation’s talent development pipeline.

This appointment reflects President Tinubu’s vision of nurturing sports from the grassroots level, ensuring that Nigeria continues to produce world-class athletes and sports professionals.
