Governor Nwifuru: Politics Should Be About Collaboration, Not Enmity
The Governor of Ebonyi State, Francis Nwifuru, has emphasized the importance of collaboration in politics, stating that it should not be driven by enmity.
Gists9ja reports that he made this remark on Monday during an empowerment programme organized by Nkemkanma Kama, a Labour Party (LP) legislator representing Ohaoazara/Onicha/Ivo Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives.
The event, held in Ishiagu, Ivo Local Government Area, saw Governor Nwifuru attending alongside leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state, including the party chairman.
Politics Beyond Party Lines
Governor Nwifuru highlighted that his presence at the event was a testament to his belief that politics should prioritize the collective good of the state and nation over partisan divisions.
“Kama is supposed to be my political opponent as he belongs to another party, but he has turned out to be my friend,” Nwifuru said. “After elections, governance takes precedence. That is why I attended this event with APC leaders in the state.”
The governor also commended Kama for aligning with the administration’s vision and working towards the betterment of the state despite their party differences.
