Renowned Hollywood actress Dalyce Curry, celebrated for her roles in Blues Brothers and Lady Sings the Blues, has tragically passed away at the age of 95 due to the ongoing California wildfires.
Authorities discovered Curry’s remains at her Los Angeles home days after her Altadena property was destroyed by the wildfires. TMZ confirmed the news on Sunday, with a statement reading, “Her remains were indeed found at the property. #RIPMOMMADEE.”
Curry’s granddaughter, Dalyce Kelley, expressed her grief in a heartfelt Facebook post: “We had a great run. She impacted my life in so many ways. This loss is devastating.”
Nollywood Producer Chijioke Ike Passes Away
In a separate tragedy, Nollywood producer and marketer Chijioke Ike has died. His colleague, Stanley Ontop (Ajemba Stanley Chibueze), shared the news on Instagram on Wednesday.
According to Stanley, Ike died unexpectedly during a family gathering in his hometown in eastern Nigeria. Reports indicate he collapsed and passed away on the spot.
Stanley Ontop mourned his colleague with an emotional post:
“Black Day for Nollywood eastern part as we lost a vibrant Nollywood producer and marketer @globalgoldenmovies.
“This one pain me ooo. Omo waten the sup. According to reliable sources, he slumped in a family meeting in his hometown and kpai. May his soul rest in peace.”
Both deaths have left their respective industries in mourning, marking the loss of two iconic figures.
