I Was Talking About Jesus – Odumodublvck Speaks On Reason His Mic Was Cutoff During Headies

Popular Nigerian rapper Odumodublvck has alleged that his microphone was muted during his acceptance speech at the 17th Headies Awards because he spoke about Jesus Christ.

Taking to his X account, the rapper suggested that if he had mentioned Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, his speech might not have been interrupted.

“I was talking about Jesus and they tried to shut me down. I am 100 percent sure that if I was talking about His Excellency Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, I would not have been cut off,” he said.

Despite the incident, the rapper expressed no resentment towards the organisers, adding that he was grateful they restored his microphone, allowing him to finish his speech and share his message of faith.

“I genuinely have no bad blood towards the Headies. Rather, I am grateful they put my mic back on to spread the gospel,” he wrote, declaring: “Jesus is King. He is before now and forever.
