Evangelist/Engr/Hon. Omotoso Banji, National President of the Oduduwa Integrity Association, has urged President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to urgently reduce the pump price of petrol as a strategic measure to ease inflation and improve the living conditions of everyday Nigerians.
Speaking on behalf of the South-West socio-political group, Omotoso emphasized that reducing fuel prices would bring immediate relief to millions and positively impact the economy.
“Tinubu, if you want to be popular, reduce the pump price of petrol,” Omotoso declared. “When fuel prices come down, it will affect every other commodity and bring down inflation. That’s how the common citizens can enjoy the benefits of governance.”
Omotoso highlighted that affordable living is a hallmark of effective governance, urging Tinubu to put people’s welfare at the forefront.
“Cheap food on the table is a function of good governance,” Omotoso stressed.
In addition to economic reforms, Omotoso called on the government to invest in advanced foreign surveillance technology to tackle Boko Haram and other security challenges plaguing the nation.
“Also, look for foreign surveillance technology to tackle Boko Haram,” Omotoso recommended. “Addressing these two pressing issues—fuel prices and insecurity—will make Tinubu’s government more popular and strengthen the confidence of the people.”
The Oduduwa Integrity Association reaffirmed its commitment to advocating for initiatives that promote the welfare and security of Nigerians, and called on the federal government to act swiftly on these critical concerns.
