Simon Guobadia Deported to Nigeria Amid Ongoing Divorce from Porsha Williams

Simon Guobadia, the estranged husband of American reality TV star Porsha Williams, has reportedly been deported to Nigeria following his release from the custody of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).

Guobadia was initially detained by ICE in February 2025 due to longstanding immigration issues that stretch back several decades. Records indicate that his legal troubles began as far back as the 1980s, when he allegedly overstayed his visa and became entangled in deportation proceedings.

His removal from the United States comes at a particularly sensitive time, as he is still in the midst of a contentious divorce from The Real Housewives of Atlanta alum. Porsha Williams filed for divorce in February 2024, just 15 months after their highly publicized wedding.

The couple’s divorce case is still active, with a court hearing scheduled for June 11, 2025. Despite being outside the country, Simon is expected to participate in the proceedings virtually via video conference. Key issues to be addressed during the hearing include disputes surrounding the couple’s marital residence and the enforcement of their prenuptial agreement.

Guobadia’s deportation has sparked fresh interest in the already headline-making split, with fans and legal observers speculating on how his immigration status and absence from the U.S. might affect the divorce outcome.
