Adams Oshiomhole, former governor of Edo State and current senator for Edo North, was involved in a disruption at Lagos’ Murtala Muhammed International Airport on Wednesday after allegedly arriving late for his flight to Abuja.
Reports indicate that the incident took place at the Zulu Terminal of the General Aviation Terminal (GAT), where Oshiomhole was booked on a 6:30 a.m. Air Peace flight.
Eyewitnesses at the terminal claimed that after discovering the flight had departed, the senator and his security team obstructed the terminal’s departure area, hindering other passengers from continuing their journeys.
Despite repeated efforts by the terminal manager to de-escalate the situation, the senator allegedly refused to move, resulting in delays for numerous travelers and creating temporary chaos within the terminal. It reportedly took the intervention of the regional airport manager before the standoff was resolved.

He arrived late for his flight, and after the aircraft had departed, he and his security detail blocked the departure gate, insisting no other passengers should be allowed to board until his issue was addressed. I’ve never seen anything like it.”
