A Nigerian woman has taken to social media to raise concerns after reportedly being assaulted by a Bolt driver following a disagreement during a ride.
In a post shared on her X (formerly Twitter) page, a user identified as @Ewatomilola_A accused a Bolt driver of smashing her car mirror and withholding a bag containing two pairs of sneakers she accidentally left in his vehicle.
Recounting her experience, she wrote: “Hello @boltapp, I requested a ride from Arena on Friday, and I’m still shaken by what happened.”
She claimed the driver damaged her newly purchased mirror and demanded an outrageous fare for the ride. Additionally, she accidentally left a bag containing two pairs of sneakers in his car, which he has allegedly refused to return.
“I just bought that mirror, and he broke it. Then he charged an absurd amount for the trip. I also forgot a bag with two sneakers in his car, and he’s been refusing to give it back,” she wrote.
She went on to say that her repeated attempts to contact him have been unsuccessful:
“I’ve called him multiple times, but he keeps cutting the call. Please, help me get my sneakers back. That’s his plate number and the broken mirror. He’s the one in the video yelling ‘he no pay him.’ @boltapp, please do something!
”She noted that the incident reportedly began with a dispute over the ride fare.
