President Bola Tinubu on Wednesday asserted that certain political adversaries are working against the success of Benue State Governor, Hyacinth Alia.
Tinubu made the statement during a meeting with key stakeholders in Makurdi, the Benue State capital.
His remarks came in response to concerns raised by the paramount ruler of the Tiv Nation, Tor Tiv V, His Royal Majesty James Ayatse, who earlier alleged that the state’s security crisis had.
Tinubu emphasized that human life holds far more value than that of cattle, and cautioned Governor Alia against allowing political opponents to exploit the ongoing crisis.
He stated, “The worth of a human life surpasses that of a cow. Conflict only creates an opening for political adversaries to step in.
“Political enemies are not interested in your success. Governor, are you only now realizing that? No matter what I do, critics will still find a reason to attack me.”
“I read newspapers and watch television whenever I get the chance. I often see the criticisms directed at me and the nature of those attacks. I’ve also learned a few lessons from the political jabs,” Tinubu stated.
