Mohbad’s Close Friend Speaks on NDLEA Raid, Mental Health Struggles, and Fallout with Wunmi

A woman identified as Dominica Chinwe, who claims to have been a close female friend of the late singer Mohbad, has shared a detailed and emotional account of the troubled artist’s final years.

Dominica claimed that Mohbad was not mentally stable when he recorded the viral video in which he stated, “If I die, it is Naira Marley.

” She further alleged that another video—where Mohbad warned Wunmi that her family would never know peace if anything happened to him—was actually recorded in 2022 and only surfaced after his death. She also recounted an incident where Wunmi reportedly informed Naira Marley that Mohbad’s close friend, Bella Shmurda, had offered him a hard substance.

In an interview with controversial activist VeryDarkMan (VDM), Dominica shared new revelations about Mohbad’s encounters with the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), his ongoing battles with mental health issues, and the complexities surrounding his relationship with his wife, Wunmi.

Events took a dramatic turn when news broke that Marlian artist Zinoleesky had been arrested. Dominica, a close associate of late singer Mohbad, narrated how they rushed to the Marlian house, only to find the entrance barricaded by NDLEA operatives.

According to her, Mohbad managed to find a way into the compound and instructed her to go live on social media to draw public attention to the situation.Dominica described a chaotic scene where Mohbad fiercely confronted the NDLEA officers in an attempt to stop them from taking Zinoleesky away.

The situation escalated when Wunmi, Mohbad’s wife, allegedly attacked one of the officers.“Mohbad told us to get into his car and follow the NDLEA bus to the estate gate. They started shooting and rammed his car three times.

He jumped out in anger and started fighting. They beat him badly with the butt of their rifles and dragged him into their van while he was bleeding,” she claimed. She further alleged that Mohbad was released later that night due to a scheduled performance in Dubai, but his health had already begun to decline.

“After the NDLEA incident, he was hospitalized and later taken to Aro Psychiatric Hospital for mental health treatment because he kept complaining about severe head pain,” Dominica said. She also made disturbing allegations about Wunmi’s behavior, claiming she used laughing gas and once contacted Naira Marley to say that Mohbad’s family wanted to harm him.

According to Dominica, Wunmi disclosed sensitive family information to Naira Marley in a bid to seek help.A UK-based doctor reportedly offered to treat Mohbad abroad for six months, but the plan was derailed when Wunmi allegedly shifted blame for Mohbad’s condition onto Dominica’s ex-boyfriend.

Dominica added that even after Mohbad left Aro, his mental state remained fragile, and he frequently requested hospital care. His parents eventually brought in a nurse to help manage his condition.
