“Technical Glitches behind Non-payment of June Salary” – FG tells Workers to Stay Calm

The Office of the Accountant General of the Federation (OAGF) has acknowledged the delay in June 2025 salary payments affecting several federal workers whose salary accounts are domiciled with Zenith Bank.

In a statement released on Friday by the Director of Press and Public Relations, Bawa Mokwa, the OAGF explained that the issue arose due to a technical network glitch during salary processing at the bank.

The problem was discovered following numerous complaints from civil servants across various Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs).“We deeply regret the inconvenience this has caused,” the OAGF stated, assuring affected workers that immediate steps are being taken to resolve the matter and reprocess the outstanding payments without further delay.

The office emphasized that it is working closely with relevant service providers and stakeholders to ensure a swift resolution. Federal public servants were urged to remain calm, with reassurances that all efforts are being made to prevent future occurrences and ensure prompt salary payments.

The OAGF reiterated its commitment to transparency, accountability, and efficiency in payroll operations and thanked employees for their patience and understanding during the disruption.
