Burna Boy Speaks on Fatherhood, Says Touring Leaves No Room for Family Life

Grammy-winning Nigerian singer Damini Ogulu, popularly known as Burna Boy, has revealed that he may not be starting a family anytime soon, citing his demanding tour schedule as a major factor.

In a recent interview with BBC Radio 1Xtra in London, 34-year-old Afrobeats star Burna Boy opened up about his thoughts on starting a family, revealing that while it’s something he wants, his demanding tour schedule makes it difficult.

“Yeah, but I don’t want to start that on the road. I’m not planning on quitting tours anytime soon, so I don’t know where to now put that [starting a family]; find a middle ground,” he said when asked about settling down.

The Last Last hitmaker also noted that his career has kept him constantly on the move, leaving little to no time for rest or personal milestones like family life.

“I haven’t gone on a holiday since the beginning of my music career,” Burna Boy revealed, explaining that not having children is one of the reasons he has never taken time off for leisure.

Known worldwide for his high-energy performances and sold-out shows across continents, the Afrobeats superstar continues to maintain a grueling tour schedule. With no plans to slow down, he admits that finding a balance between personal life and professional commitments remains a major challenge.
