A Nigerian woman has taken to social media to report an unsettling encounter with an inDrive driver, whom she accused of harassment and making explicit sexual remarks.
The woman, known on X (formerly Twitter) as @lawlah_rae, detailed the incident in a viral post.
She explained that she initially booked a ride for ₦2,000, but the driver increased the fare to ₦3,000. When she refused and cancelled the trip, the driver began to harass her.
According to her, the driver called her repeatedly using different numbers and later sent inappropriate messages via WhatsApp. After blocking him, he allegedly continued calling her using a hidden number.
In her words:
“I booked a ride yesterday and he inflated the fare to ₦3,000. I told him ₦2,000, which he refused and asked me to cancel — so I did. Since then, he’s been calling me non-stop. He sent me a message on WhatsApp and I blocked him.
He then started calling with a hidden number. When I picked up to curse him out, he told me he likes me and would like to put his penis in my mouth.”
Following her post, inDrive responded to her complaint and confirmed that the driver involved has been permanently banned from the platform.
