
As preparations intensify for the Edo Central Senatorial District by-election scheduled for August 16, 2025, the Edo State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has unveiled its Campaign Council to spearhead the party’s bid for electoral victory.
The announcement was made in a statement released by the party’s Publicity Secretary, Chris Osa Nehikhare.The Campaign Council will be led by Senator Clifford Ordia, a prominent party figure and two-term senator who previously represented Edo Central.
Key Appointments to the Campaign Council:
Rt. Hon. Joe Edionwele – Director-General, Operations(Former Chairman of Esan West LGA and two-term member of the House of Representatives for Esan West, Esan Central, and Igueben Federal Constituency)
Barr. Lawson Ogedengbe – Member
Hon. Patrick Iluobe – Member
Hon. Victor Emonvon – Member
Matthew Evbhotemen – Member
Clifford Inegbedion – Member (Party Chairman, Esan Central)
Lawrence Odiaze – Member (Party Chairman, Esan South-East LGA)
Ikhajangbe A. Andy – Member (Party Chairman, Esan West LGA)

The PDP said the team will drive its campaign messaging and strategic outreach as it seeks to retain the Edo Central senatorial seat in the upcoming poll.
