Governor Monday Okpebholo of Edo State has put forward four individuals for appointment as commissioners in his administration.
According to GIST9JA, the nominations are subject to confirmation by the Edo State House of Assembly.The announcement was made in a statement issued on Friday by the Secretary to the State Government, Umar Musa Ikhilor.
The nominees are:
1. Hon. (Barr.) Nosa T. Adams
2. Hon. Yakubu Oshiorenua Musa, JP
3. Hon. (Dr.) Felix Ehiguese Akhabue
4. Engr. Prof. Omorodion Ignatius Ikponmwosa—
Hon. (Barr.) Nosa T. Adams
A seasoned legal practitioner and political advocate, Barr. Nosa T. Adams holds qualifications in both Law and Human Resource Management.
He has served in key public and private sector leadership positions, including Chairman of Egor Local Government Area, Special Adviser to the Edo State Governor, and General Manager of Edo State Rubber Estates.He is a member of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) and currently leads Nosa Adams & Co. as Principal Partner.
Hon. Yakubu Oshiorenua Musa (JP)
Hon. Musa is a respected politician, Rotarian, philanthropist, and business consultant with a background in Agriculture and Business Administration. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Management Consultants (IMC–Nigeria) and a former Executive Chairman of Etsako West Local Government Area.
He is also recognized as an Eminent Peace Ambassador by the International Association of World Peace Advocates and actively contributes to the Rotary Club of Auchi Metro.
Hon. (Dr.) Felix Ehiguese Akhabue
A chartered accountant and accomplished entrepreneur, Hon. Dr. Akhabue is known for his leadership in both governance and business.
He previously served as the Executive Chairman of Esan West Local Government Area and was elected National President of the Association of Local Governments of Nigeria (ALGON).He also held positions on international bodies, including Vice President of United Cities and Local Governments of Africa (UCLGA) and Board Member of the Commonwealth Local Government Forum (CLGF).
Engr. Prof. Omorodion Ignatius Ikponmwosa
Prof. Ikponmwosa is a prominent academic in Industrial and Production Engineering, with expertise in automation and control systems. He earned his B.Eng. in Mechanical/Production Engineering, M.Eng. in Manufacturing Engineering, and Ph.D. in Automation and Control from Nnamdi Azikiwe University, University of Benin, and Ambrose Alli University, respectively.
He is a registered member of the Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN), the Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE), and the International Federation of Automatic Control (IFAC).
