Anambra South: Azuka Okwuosa Unveils Legislative Agenda Ahead of August 16 Poll

As the Anambra South Senatorial bye-election draws closer, All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate, Hon. Sir Azuka Uchechukwu Okwuosa, has officially declared his intent to contest for the Senate seat, promising effective and inclusive representation for the people of the district.

In a detailed manifesto released to the public, Okwuosa, a former Chairman of Nnewi Local Government and ex-Anambra State Commissioner for Works and Transport, outlined his legislative priorities if elected to represent Anambra South at the Red Chambers.

Reaffirming his commitment to the “Anambra spirit of selflessness, responsibility, fairness, courage, hard work, and commitment to social justice,” Okwuosa pledged to focus on key developmental sectors including security, education, youth and women empowerment, infrastructure, industrialization, health, agriculture, sports, and community development.

“I will leave no stone unturned to enhance the growth and development of Anambra South senatorial zone,” Okwuosa assured in his message to constituents.

Among the strategies outlined in his agenda are the sponsorship and co-sponsorship of bills tailored to the needs of Anambra South, initiatives to boost local employment, support for farmers and small-scale businesses, and enhanced access to poverty alleviation programs.

He also promised to promote ICT and tech innovation among youth, support healthcare institutions and orphanages, champion arts and culture, and ensure prudent management of constituency funds.
