Multi-award-winning American singer Teyana Taylor has opened up about her vocal health struggles, revealing that she will undergo emergency surgery.
In a heartfelt message shared via her Instagram story, the singer disclosed that she has been quietly battling vocal challenges due to a noncancerous growth on one of her vocal cords.
“That’s been messing with my voice and causing real discomfort. Thankfully, we caught it and it’s treatable. But it does mean I need to pause and give myself time to fully heal,” she stated.
As a result of her condition, Teyana announced the cancellation of all upcoming appearances, including her scheduled appearance on Michelle Obama’s podcast this weekend.
Despite the setback, her highly anticipated album Escape Room’s is still set for release on August 22, 2025, and will feature 22 tracks.
“Thank you for rocking with me through it all. For the love, grace, and space to heal,” she added, expressing her deep gratitude to fans for their unwavering support.
