A 21-year-old woman has lost her life, while her 27-year-old boyfriend remains in critical condition, after both plunged from the second floor of a bar in Puerto Inca, Peru.
The incident happened around 6 a.m. on Monday, August 4, following a heated argument between the couple. The woman, identified as Emely Fiorela Mego Díaz, reportedly chased after her boyfriend in an attempt to hug him.
CCTV footage captured the moment she moved toward him forcefully, causing them to fall from an area lacking safety railings.
Local reports state that Ms. Mego Díaz, believed to be a bar employee, died instantly from the fall. Her boyfriend, Henry Manuel del Águila Macedo, sustained multiple serious injuries and was taken to a local health centre before being transferred to a hospital.
