Company Suspends Employee One Week After His Death

A company has drawn criticism after issuing a three-month suspension letter to an employee who had already passed away.

The incident came to light when an X user, Bigwavee00, revealed that the deceased was his friend. According to him, the disciplinary action was taken due to the late employee’s absence from work, even though he had died a week earlier.

Bigwavee00 shared: “My friend got a mail today that he has been suspended for 3 months for not coming to work. Not knowing my guy has been dead since last week Sunday. Life .”

The development sparked outrage online, with many condemning the company’s lack of concern for its staff.

Divine Mercy wrote: “This is what happens when companies don’t care about their workers. They couldn’t even find out why he was absent at work in the first place.”

Clara Marah commented: “Why issue a suspension letter without first finding out what happened to the staff? The rest of the staff need to be careful. What goes around comes around.”

Ify Croche added: “Some companies no send your papa.”

Keiseyan described the incident as “heartbreaking,” criticizing the organization for not making inquiries before punishing the deceased.
