A Nigerian woman has shared the distressing account of her sister’s abduction in Lagos on the evening of June 20, raising alarm and concern across social media platforms.
In a post on X (formerly Twitter), a user identified as @TeemarsBeauty recounted how her sister was abducted in Obalende by unidentified individuals who demanded a ransom of ₦2 million.
She explained that the kidnappers accessed her sister’s phone and contacted everyone in her contact list, requesting financial assistance to raise the ransom.
Once the full ransom was gathered, the abductors released the victim around 3 a.m. at Iyanaworo, a location in Lagos.
In her post, @TeemarsBeauty wrote: “My sister was kidnapped yesterday evening, and they demanded 2 million Naira. She was taken from Obalende, and the kidnappers used her phone to call everyone in her contact list, asking for money until the ransom was complete. She was dropped off at Iyanaworo around 3 a.m. Last night was hell. Please, everyone, stay safe.
