According to Leadership newspaper, suspected kidnappers have killed a 45-year-old businessman, Alhaji Dauda Isma’il, in Okuta, a community in Baruten Local Government Area of Kwara State.
Reports revealed that the farm produce dealer was kidnapped and later murdered on Monday in the Takare area of Okuta.
The spokesperson for the Kwara State Police Command, Toun Ejire-Adeyemi, confirmed the incident in a statement on Tuesday evening, adding that police officers shot and killed one of the kidnappers during a gun battle.
