Lagos Neighbourhood Safety Corps Created to Support Police – Obasa

Obasa stated that the security outfit was set up to support the efforts of the police and other law enforcement agencies across the state.

He further explained that the Lagos State Neighbourhood Safety Corps (LNSC) was designed to gather crucial intelligence for preventing crime and assisting in the apprehension of offenders.

In a statement released to journalists on Tuesday, Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Mudashiru Obasa, highlighted the Assembly’s commitment to ensuring the safety and security of both Nigerians and foreigners residing in the state.

He made the remarks while speaking at the Expatriates Business Awards (TEBA).Obasa further noted that the Assembly has passed several laws aimed at creating a business-friendly environment. According to him, these legislative efforts are targeted at attracting investments and promoting long-term economic growth in Lagos State.

Obasa stated, “We established the Lagos State Neighbourhood Safety Corps (LNSC) to support and work alongside the police by supplying crucial intelligence for crime prevention and aiding in the apprehension of criminals within the state.

“As a hub for commerce, industry, and innovation, Lagos has become a place where expatriates enjoy a high quality of life — often experiencing luxuries not readily available in their home countries — while businesses and tourism continue to flourish.”
