A Nigerian woman has taken to social media to cry out after being evicted from her home by her late husband’s siblings just 10 days after his death.
The heartbreaking account was shared on X (formerly Twitter) by user @ChuksEricE, featuring a video of the woman recounting her ordeal.
She explained that her husband had battled a serious illness, during which they spent nearly ₦12.8 million on treatment, hoping for his recovery. Unfortunately, he passed away despite their efforts.
Following his death, the woman said his family tried to sell a piece of land he left behind a move she opposed. Not long after, while she was out taking her son to school, she received a distressing phone call.
“I came back to find that the roof of our home had been removed and all my belongings thrown outside,” she said tearfully. “No one helped us when my husband was sick. We suffered. Ten days after he died, they threw me out.”
