A Nigerian woman has taken to social media to publicly call out her husband for allegedly neglecting his duties as a father and partner because of his obsession with sports betting.
In a video posted on her TikTok page, @ceozinnythrift, the woman accused her husband of leaving her to singlehandedly care for their children while he spends most of his time and money on predicting football matches.She claimed that he has failed to offer any form of financial or emotional support to their household.
“The children are my sole responsibility. He doesn’t care—he just keeps betting. His family sees nothing wrong with what he’s doing,” she said tearfully in the video.
She further alleged that instead of holding him accountable, her husband’s family has continued to support his reckless behavior.
The video has since gone viral, sparking outrage and sympathy from social media users.
Many criticized the man’s actions and the complicity of his family, while others urged the woman to seek help and prioritize her well-being and that of her children.
