The All Progressives Congress (APC) has reclaimed the Ganye Constituency seat in the Adamawa State House of Assembly.
The seat became vacant following the death of APC lawmaker Abdulmalik Musa last year.
In the bye-election held on Saturday, August 16, 2025, the APC candidate, Misa Musa Jauro, secured 16,923 votes to edge out his Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) rival, Buba Muhammad Joda, who polled 16,794 votes.
The results, which reflected earlier predictions of a tightly contested race between the APC and PDP, were officially declared by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
The Returning Officer, Professor Tukur Ahmed, announced the outcome shortly before 5 a.m. on Sunday, marking the conclusion of the electoral process.
