Reality TV personality and former Big Brother Naija winner Whitemoney has publicly reacted to a message he received from a male Instagram user who complimented his appearance and addressed him as “Papi.”
The social media interaction appeared to have caught the attention of the reality star, who shared his response while making his position on the message clear.
According to Whitemoney, the Instagram user sent him a direct message praising his looks and referring to him as “Papi,” a term he strongly objected to.
The reality TV star said he does not appreciate being addressed that way by another man and insisted that men should relate to each other as “bro” rather than using what he considers suggestive terms.
Whitemoney expressed his preference in a blunt response, saying: “Don’t ever call me Papi again. I love bumbum. I am a child of God. Strictly ladies.”
His comments have since drawn attention online, particularly because he also used the opportunity to address speculation surrounding his sexuality.
The BBNaija winner explained that the fact that he is not frequently seen publicly with women should not automatically lead people to conclude that he is gay. He maintained that his private or social life should not be used as a basis for making assumptions about his sexual orientation.
Whitemoney went on to state that he is attracted to women, using the Igbo expression “Ukwu” while describing his preference. He also explicitly denied being gay and said he would not act against what he believes to be consistent with his faith, nature and personal convictions.
The reality star’s remarks have generated discussions among social media users, with reactions focusing both on his response to the Instagram message and his decision to publicly address questions about his sexuality.
Whitemoney, who rose to national prominence through his participation in Big Brother Naija and went on to win his season, remains an active figure in Nigeria’s entertainment and social media space. His outspoken personality and frequent online engagements have continued to attract public attention.
