A Nigerian man, identified as Emeka Njeako, has taken to Facebook to announce his divorce just months after getting married.
Njeako also shared his regrets and lessons from the experience while advising others to take time to understand their partners before getting married.
Sharing a photo from his wedding ceremony, which reportedly took place in January 2026, he wrote:
“Officially Divorced.
“Say No to connected marriage/matchmaking marriage.
“Date your woman well before marriage else you waste your time and resources……
“I wish I can say more but my story is like Nollywood movie.”
His post has attracted attention on social media, particularly because the marriage reportedly lasted only a few months.
Njeako did not disclose details about the circumstances surrounding the divorce or explain what led to the breakdown of the marriage.
His warning appeared to centre on the importance of couples getting to know each other personally before entering into marriage, rather than relying solely on matchmaking or introductions arranged by others.
