A train has collided with a Honda car at the PWD railway crossing along Agege Motor Road in Ikeja, Lagos State, causing traffic disruption in the area.
The incident occurred on Friday morning, October 9, 2026, according to the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA).
In a statement shared on X, LASTMA said the collision occurred on the railway tracks at PWD, significantly affecting vehicular movement.
A video circulating online shows the badly damaged Honda car on the tracks as residents and other onlookers gathered around the scene and attempted to push the vehicle away from the train.
LASTMA later confirmed that the car had been moved off the tracks, while efforts were ongoing to evacuate it from the scene.
The agency said its officers were on the ground managing traffic, with emergency responders also attending to the incident.
“The car has been pushed off the tracks now by onlookers as effort is on for evacuation,” the agency stated.
As of the time of filing this report, details about the cause of the collision and whether anyone was injured or killed had not been confirmed.
