A former Chairman of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) in Bauchi State, Reverend Joshua Ray Mainas, has accused President Bola Tinubu of bringing more suffering to Nigerians through his policies.
Mainas, who condemned the removal of subsidy from Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), better known as fuel or petrol, said the incumbent leader is following in the footstep of his predecessor, Muhammadu Buhari.
He said Tinubu’s decision to remove fuel subsidy upon assumption of office was a misplaced priority.
Gists9ja understands that the former CAN chairman stated this during an interview on Thursday, August 17, 2023.
Mainas said the incumbent president should have learned from a former president of Nigeria, Goodluck Ebele Jonathan, who attempted to remove subsidy but had to rescind the decision because he had the interest of the masses at heart.
