Several reactions have trailed the takeover of power by the military in Gabon, days after the conduct of its 2023 presidential election.

Gists9ja earlier reported that the Gabonese President, Ali Bongo, had been deposed by the military, days after winning the presidential election.

According to the BBC, soldiers were said to have appeared on Gabonese national television in Gabon to announce that they had taken power.
