
It has one long week of killings with at least 3500 feared dead from the ongoing fighting between Israel and Palestine’s militant group, Hamas.
It all started last on Saturday, October 7, 2022 when Hamas launched attack on Israel on Saturday with a barrage of rockets fired from the Gaza Strip killing 22 people at a stretch.
Israeli Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu vowed to retaliate as he declared that Israel was in war.
“Our enemy will pay a price the type of which it has never known,” he said. “We are in a war and we will win it,” Netanyahu said.
Since them it has been killings upon killings sequel to the retaliatory strikes by Israel and defense by the Palestine’s Hamas.
As at last count, more than 1,300 people have killed in Israel with thousands injured and taking hostage.
Also, more than 2,200 people have been killed in Israel’s bombing campaign of the Gaza Strip launched in the aftermath, Palestinian authorities said.
Israel has warned 1.1m Palestinians living in north Gaza to evacuate south, and thousands have been fleeing by vehicle or on foot, according to reports.
