Gov Okpebholo Details Spiritual Warfare Before Election, Including Finding a Dead Bat on His Bed

Edo State Governor, Senator Monday Okpebholo, has shared that he faced intense spiritual challenges leading up to his election victory.

Governor Okpebholo spoke about these experiences at a thanksgiving service held on Wednesday night at the Dr. Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium in Benin City, following his recent inauguration.

Reflecting on the election period, he said, “I want to thank God. Throughout this campaign, while I focused on praising God, others were actively opposing me on media platforms like Arise, Facebook, and Channels.”

Okpebholo explained that he put his faith in God to handle the situation, as he believed he had insight into the spiritual aspects at play. “In the days leading up to the election, they thought I was out of my mind. We gathered to praise God across the state, and some questioned my actions. They were busy on Arise, but I listened to God’s guidance and ultimately won the battle.”

He went on to describe a remarkable moment after the election, saying, “On Sunday morning, I entered my room and saw a dead bat on my bed, even though I hadn’t done anything to harm it. I felt it was a sign of God’s intervention, with His hand protecting and guiding me.”

Okpebholo expressed his gratitude for the support of spiritual leaders and the community, encouraging others to put their trust in God. “I am thankful for the men of God who supported me in prayer and for everyone who believes that all things are possible with God. My advice is simple: rely solely on God, and He will guide you as well.”
