The Chairman of Obio/Akpor Local Government Area in Rivers State, Chijioke Ihunwo, has called on media organizations in the state to engage in constructive criticism and uphold objectivity in their reporting.
He stressed the importance of supporting Governor Siminalayi Fubara, emphasizing that the governor’s success is critical for the continued growth and development of Rivers State. Ihunwo described Governor Fubara as a “silent achiever” who has been working diligently for the progress of the state without seeking the spotlight.
Ihunwo made these remarks during a meeting with members of the Correspondent Chapel of the Nigerian Union of Journalists (NUJ) in Rivers State. The journalists had visited the chairman at his office to engage in discussions about the current political landscape in the state and the role of the media in shaping public opinion.
