Justice Binta Fatima Nyako of the Federal High Court, Abuja, has issued an order prohibiting all parties involved in the case filed by suspended Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan against Senate President Godswill Akpabio and three others from granting media interviews related to the matter.
The directive was given on Friday after Kehinde Ogunwumiju (SAN), Akpabio’s counsel, raised concerns that the plaintiff had been making media appearances and discussing the ongoing case, which is still before the court.
In a brief ruling, Justice Nyako ordered that neither the parties nor their legal representatives should speak to the press on issues relating to the case. She further barred them from streaming court proceedings on social media platforms.
