Several students in Lagos have reportedly been left devastated and stranded after a school proprietor allegedly absconded with money collected for their West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) registration.
According to reports circulating online, each affected student reportedly paid ₦80,000 for their WAEC registration, believing the school had completed the necessary process for them to participate in the examination.
However, the situation reportedly took a shocking turn when the students discovered that their registrations had allegedly not been processed despite the payments made to the school management.
The development reportedly came to light after some of the students attempted to sit for their examinations but were unable to do so because their names were said to be missing from the official examination records.
The incident has sparked outrage online, with many Nigerians condemning the alleged exploitation of students and calling for urgent intervention by education authorities and security agencies.
