Frank Nweke Jr Receives Royal Blessings from Igwe I.O.U. Aghalogu, the Essa of Ngwo Assa.

Frank Nweke Jr, the governorship candidate of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) in Enugu State, on Saturday received royal prayers and blessings from Igwe I.O.U. Aghalogu, the Essa of Ngwo Assa, when he paid the traditional ruler a courtesy visit at his Iroko Crescent palace in Ngwo, Udi Local Government Area, Enugu West Constituency.

Nweke’s team for the courtesy call included the Enugu State APGA chairman and Enugu East Senatorial candidate, Ndubisi Enechi-Onyia; the APGA Enugu West constituency House of Representatives candidate, Chinonso Nnamani; the APGA Udi Local Government state house of assembly candidate, Bethel Agu, and other party members.

To receive Nweke and the team at the palace for Igwe’s blessing was the royal cabinet (Igwe’s council) consisting of Prince Uche Aghalogu, Chief Innocent Ugwu, Sir Nze Sam Ugwu, Hon. Nze Isaac Onyia, Nze Joseph Onoh, Nze Thomas Ngwu and Nze Innocent Chime.
Chief Innocent Ugwu recalled Nweke’s time as a Minister of the Federal Republic, noting that his service was marked by competence, wisdom, exposure, discipline and excellent delivery.

Frank Nweke Jr said that he was contesting for the governorship seat of Enugu State because he was “tired of complaining” and believes that his nurture and track record of integrity and excellent service must be deployed to redress the incompetent and inept leadership which has plunged the State into abject poverty and economic woes.

He also cited another reason as the need to restore the pride of the Igbo identity and place in the polity of the country, which informed his decision to join the All Progressives Grand Alliance.

In his response, Igwe Aghalogu noted that APGA traces its origin from the eternal father of modern Igbo nation, Dim Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu, hence the party belonged to the people. He prayed to God to bless Nweke as well as all the other APGA candidates for their fortitude to come forward to fight for good governance and to grant them victory.
