A video has surfaced showing Primate Elijah Ayodele, leader of the INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, warning the G5 of the Peoples Democratic Party against a split.
Since Atiku Abubakar became the presidential candidate of the PDP, he has faced opposition from a group of governors known as the G5.
The other governors of Oyo, Benue, Enugu, and Abia are Seyi Makinde, Samuel Ortom, Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, and Okezie Ikpeazu, respectively, under the leadership of the governor of Rivers State.
They want more representation for the South in the party and even call for Iyorcha Ayu to step down as National Chairman.
On Saturday, however, a video by Ayodele surfaced as rumours indicated tensions were rising among the five angry governors.
Wike is said to have left their meeting in London, United Kingdom because they couldn’t agree on a presidential candidate for the 2023 election.
Wike reportedly had a run-in with Ortom and stormed out of the meeting before jet-setting to Spain.
Reportedly, the governor met with Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the All Progressives Congress’s presidential contender for the 2023 elections.
Ayodele had previously issued many warnings to the five aggrieved governors.
The man of God has often cautioned Wike to be on guard in anticipation of an impending crisis inside the group.
Primate Ayodele predicted a split among the G5 governors in a video posted on Friday that quickly went viral for his assertion that they were acting outside of God’s will.
He predicted that the angry governors would be marginalised and would bring disrepute to any political group that accepted them.
Ayodele said: “This G-5 Governors will break since God isn’t engaged with their activities.
“They are simply squandering individuals’ cash, their energy and their solidarity.
“I feel sorry for you, Seyi Makinde, and I feel sorry for you, Ikpeazu.
“This G5 thing can wreck Seyi Makinde on the grounds that individuals won’t confide in him once more.
“You better stop it now with the goal that your work won’t blow up on Seyi Makinde.
“This G-5 doesn’t fear God.
