The Presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi, has said he is not looking to serve in another cabinet but to emerge as the next President.
The former Governor of Anambra State said this on Saturday while speaking to journalists at his polling unit, PU 019, Umudimakasi Square, Agulu, Anambra.
Obi stated that he is optimistic about his chances of winning the election and said he is not ready to work with any candidate who emerged.
He said: “I am very optimistic. You can see the positive mood among my people. People are coming out to vote to make sure the Labour Party wins.”
The former governor, who is one of the leading presidential candidates in the elections, said he was passionate about serving the people.
He added: “It is by God’s grace that I am here. The first thing that I will do if I win is to thank God. I just want to serve the people. I want to show compassion. I want to help people out of poverty.”
