The Labour Party (LP) governorship candidate in Lagos State, Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour, for the umpteenth time, has reiterated he is a Lagosian amidst the controversy surrounding his state of origin.

Gists9ja reports that Rhodes-Vivour during an interactive session with Nigerian comedian AY said he is more Lagosian than the incumbent governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, who he claims hails from Ijebu, Ogun State.

According to the LP candidate, there is no way people will talk about issues in Lagos State without mentioning his family.

He noted that his family’s pedigree in Lagos spans over 100 years as his great-grandfather was the first black man to participate in the Nigerian government.
