Amid the ongoing uproar that has greeted the forthcoming gubernatorial election in Lagos state, it could be recalled that a chieftain of the All Progressive Congress (APC), MC Oluomo was allegedly caught on camera threatening the people of Lagos state that if they don’t vote for the APC during Saturday’s Gubernatorial Polls, they should stay at home.
However, this threat has caused mixed reactions as the residents of Lagos state begin to panic ahead of the upcoming gubernatorial polls.
Moreover, a popular lawmaker and human rights activist, Chief Malcolm Omirhobo, has spoken out in response to the alleged threat made by MC Oluomo.
Taking to his verified social media account on Twitter, Chief Malcolm Omirhobo called on the Nigeria police to act and ensure that there is no form of unlawful violence against voters during the Lagos Gubernatorial Polls on Saturday.
Quoting the exact statement released by Chief Malcolm Omirhobo, he said, “Mc OLUOMO’s unabated threat to voters is unbecoming and unacceptable. The Nigeria police is T/4 put on notice to act or be held accountable should there be any form of unlawful violence against voters during the gubernatorial and State House Assembly elections on Saturday.”
