The immediate past governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike, has revealled how Senate President Godswill Akpabio supported his governorship bid in 2015.
Speaking at his special thanksgiving service on Sunday, Wike disclosed that Akpabio donated the sum of N200 million to his governorship campaign in 2015.
“When I was running in 2014 and 2015 he came out and supported me. He gave me N200m for that election. I supported him this time and I thank God he won,” Wike said.
The former governor congratulated Akpabio on his emergence as the Senate President adding that one good turn deserves another.
Gists9ja reports that Wike also alleged that he was poisoned at the national secretariat of the opposition Peoples Democratic Party during the last campaign period.
