The Director General of the Advertising Regulatory Council of Nigeria (ARCON), Olalekan Fadolapo, has reportedly queried the Director of Regulations over his approval of the ‘All Eyes on Judiciary’ billboard advert in Abuja.
The DG of ARCON reportedly disclosed this on Monday, noting that the advert is clear blackmail against the Nigerian Judiciary and the Honourable Justices of the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal.
He added that the advert could instigate public unrest and breach of public peace.
The billboard which was sponsored by Diaspora’s For Good Governance tagged, “ALL Eyes on the Judiciary”, is coming amid anxiety as Nigerians await the judgment of the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal.
There have also been speculations which on different occasions have been denied that the judges are trying to keep President Tinubu in office despite alleged obvious reasons to rule him out of office.
As Nigerians await the ruling of the tribunal, Diaspora’s For Good Governance indicated that the judges are being watched.
