The Akwa Ibom State Governor, Umo Eno, reportedly rejected VIP treatment at the Victor Attah International Airport in Uyo, the state’s capital, on Tuesday.
Gists9ja gathered that the governor, just like all passengers, subjected himself to checks by security personnel.
The governor, who boarded the state-owned airline, was in the company of very few of his aides on the trip to Abuja.
Reacting to the development, the airline management said the trip marked a significant milestone as it was the first time the governor would use its services since assuming office.
