Gunmen have reportedly killed one person in an attack on villages in Ikobi Council Ward in Apa LGA of Benue State.
Residents said the armed men also set houses ablaze in Akpete village at about 3pm on Tuesday after they earlier killed one person in another community.
A resident told our correspondent through telephone that the victim, identified as Aminu Akanu, was killed between Ikobi and Oloba around 5pm on Monday while he was returning from Ugbokpo, the Apa LGA headquarters.
Spokesperson of the police in Benue State, Catherine Anene, did not respond to calls and messages at the time of filing this report.
